We are in the August 2nd edition of the Rutland Times! Check it out:
Thanks to everyone that managed to make it to Leicester Kickboxing Club on Sunday 24th June for our first Grading Session. Also a big thanks to Jag for taking the Grading for us.
You all did really well and Jag commented on the excellent techniques, especially from the ladies, you all made me proud.
Rutland Kickboxing will be doing their first Grading on Sunday 24th June at Leicester Kickboxing Club. As some of you have been training for this for some time we will be grading for three belts in one go (White, Yellow and Orange).
Please take a look at the Grading Syllabus so you know what to expect and try and make it to as many training sessions as possible in preparation for the Grading.
Meet at catmos at 1.15pm for car share or go direct for 2pm start at Leicester Kickboxing Club nr st georges retail park.
Rutland Kickboxing now has a dedicated children’s Kickboxing Class on Saturday’s 12pm to 1pm at Catmose Sport Centre in the Old Sport Hall (same building as Swimming Pool).
Bring your kids along and you can either stay and watch or go have a drink in the on-site cafe at the Sport Centre.
First session is free and all equipment provided. Please contact me for further details or just turn up this Saturday!
Saturday training at Catmose Sports Centre has returned to starting at 11.00am again (previously 10.30am).
The next Saturday session is Sat 7th Jan 2011 11am to 12pm in the old Sports Hall at Catmose Sports Centre!
Also, we have started to included some light sparring (all safety equipment provided inc. body and head guards) for anyone that wants a go during the Saturday class, as well as continuing our usual non-contact kickboxing pad workout and groundwork for everyone else.
Rutland Kickboxing is moving on from Manton Village Hall and has managed to secure the use of the Old Sports Hall at Catmose Sport Centre.
Catmose Sports Centre offers much better facilities than we had at Manton Village Hall including full changing facilities and a large car parking area. The Sports Hall we are using is a much bigger area than Manton and I have some great ideas on combinations and exercises we can now do with having the luxury of space!
We are still running three classes a week
Monday’s: 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Thursday’s 7:00pm to 8:00pm
and
Saturday’s 11:00am to 12:00am
First class at Catmose starts THURDAY 6th OCTOBER.
The car park to the old Catmose site will be open to park in, or you can park at the new Sports Centre and walk over. No need to go to reception, just go directly to the Old Sports Hall.
Hope to see you all there!
